Da Nang launches website, application to better children’s mental health

Children and their parents in the central city of Da Nang now can access consultations regarding mental health and psychological issues of children through a website and an application.

Da Nang (VNA) – Children and their parentsin the central city of Da Nang now can access consultations regarding mentalhealth and psychological issues of children through a website and anapplication.

The website, Baovetreemdanang.vn, and theapplication, Tre em DaNang, debut at a ceremony held by the municipalDepartment of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on April 13.

The website enables children and young people to connect with their peers, share their problems andsupport each other to overcome spiritual issues.

Parents and caregivers can also leave comments onthe posts as encouragement to the children, while experts will interact with themand provide them with necessary courses.

Le Van Minh, Deputy Director of the department, saidover the past years, Da Nang has paid attention to social welfare, includingprogrammes and plans on child care, protection and education, which has helpedto create a healthy environment to ensure all-round development of children.

The launch of the website and application forms partof activities carried out by the city to prevent violence against children,improve their mental health and promote their rights, the official stressed.

He used the occasion to thank UNICEF Vietnam for itssupport in building the website and the application, and pledged to maintain and develop the tools./.
