PyD Programme DirectorElena Cristini said the camp is sure to offer helpful lessons and paveway for the achievement of gender equality and the fight against genderviolation in the future.
In a survey conducted by the department,38 percent of students aged 12-13 responded that they had witnessedbeatings between their parents while 67 percent had been punishedphysically by their teachers. Only 6 percent of boys and 12 percent ofgirls were aware of gender equality issue.-VNA
