Dak Lak (VNA) - Officials, Party members, and people in Dak Lak province have expressed their strong support and trust, and pinned their high hopes on the country’s development path and goals in the new period, while giving their feedback to the draft documents to be presented at the 14th National Party Congress.
The theme of the upcoming congress highlights collective effort and unity to achieve Vietnam’s development goals by 2030, advancing in the era of the nation's rise peace for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, civilisation, happiness, and steady progress toward socialism, thus demonstrating the strategic vision, mettle, and aspiration for development of the Party, State, and people.
Ngo Sau, former Vice Principal of the Dak Lak School of Politics and Secretary of a Party cell in Dak Lak province's Tan Lap ward, said the theme is well-chosen, reflecting the mindset, vision, goals, and political determination of the entire Party, people, and armed forces in the new era. He noted that it shows the spirit of independence, self-reliance, and the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation, combining national strength with the power of the times to build socialism.
A key highlight in the Party building and rectification work during the past tenure was the Party's resolute handling of violations and anti-corruption efforts, with “no forbidden zones,” helping prevent and push back degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, Sau stressed, adding strictly disciplining many officials and Party members, including those under the central management, has strengthened public trust in the Party.
He suggested paying more attention to the personnel work in communes, villages, and residential areas, where there are still imbalances of surplus and shortage. He recommended that local officials should be selected with qualifications matching their responsibilities and suitable for the new era of digital technology, digital society, and digital economy, to better task performance.
Meanwhile, H’Da Ne Bya, Secretary of Party cell of Buon Don village in Buon Don border commune, expressed her strong support for the draft documents’ focus on science and technology development, innovation, and promoting the people’s role as active agents, seeing these as key drivers for the country’s breakthrough in the time to come.
The Party building and rectification work in recent times has been carried out vigorously and effectively, contributing to reinforcing the people's trust, she said, adding that it is necessary to promote the exemplary role of leaders and strictly handle violations, especially acts of corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena.
The public trust is a great strength that helps the country to overcome challenges and move forward steadily, she emphasised noted, saying that in the next term, it is essential to maintain discipline, promote democracy and innovation, and inspire the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation.
She hoped that the Party’s policies and guidelines will soon be translated into concrete regional development programmes. She proposed prioritising investment in education in ethnic minority areas, vocational training linked to local employment, sustainable livelihood support; and improving the quality of healthcare and education; and preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups and giving greater attention to young people.
From a grassroots perspective, H’Giang Nie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ea M’dor commune, strongly agreed with and pinned high hope on development goals outlined in the draft documents, proposing that efforts must be coordinated across three key areas of institutions, human resources, and capital.
She expressed her belief that with strong political determination, the Party’s close leadership, and the solidarity among the people, development directions for the next term will be effectively implemented, bringing tangible progress to the country, and local communities./.
