Moscow (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanhheld a working session with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko inMoscow on December 1, as part of the ongoing Russia visit by President NguyenXuan Phuc.
Both sides reviewed results that were achievedwithin the framework of the 23rd meeting of the Vietnam – Russia Inter-GovernmentalCommittee on Economic-Trade and Scientific-Technological Cooperation heldvirtually in October. They also discussed ways to further boost ties in variousareas in the near future.
The two Deputy PMs vowed to direct ministries andagencies uphold the efficiency of the Inter-Governmental Committee, focusing ontraditional and spearhead fields such as energy, oil and gas, trade, investment,science-technology, as well as expand collaboration into other new promisingareas such as clean energy and health care, including the fight againstCOVID-19.
On the occasion, Thanh invited Chernyshenko to visit Vietnam in the near future to reach consensus on orientations to stepping up bilateralties, meeting demand of the two peoples.
Later, they witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperationagreements in the fields of energy, oil and gas, culture and health care./.
