Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte begins an official visit to Vietnam on April 9 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

He is accompanied by Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management Cora van Nieuwenhuizen; Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality Marjolijn Sonnema; State Secretary for Finance Menno Snel; and President of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers Hans de Boer.

Amidst the growing Vietnam-Netherlands relations, the visit is an important event marking a new stride in bilateral ties. It is also an occasion for the two countries’ leaders to discuss measures to enhance collaboration in politics-diplomacy and trade-investment and intensify existing cooperation frameworks, especially the strategic partnership on climate change adaptation – water management and on sustainable agriculture – food security.
