A music performance dubbed “Chants Lunairres”, featuring songs set from poems written by famous Vietnamese Han Mac Tu, was held in Zurich , Switzerland.
The event, held under the auspices of Wallisellen township’s authorities, was to mark the 70 th death anniversary of the talented poet.
During the 2-hour performance, overseas Vietnamese singer Camille Huyen and guitarist Waltherr Giger, who himself set the poems to music pieces, took audiences to a dialogue with Tu, who died of leprosy at the age of 28.
In addition, the audiences had a chance to enjoy lullabies from the central city of Hue and several northern provinces in Vietnam .
Camille Huyen and Waltherr Giger are said to have spent two years in preparing for the performance that is expected to be repeated in the coming 2010 Hue Festival./.
