A festival highlighting Vietnamese ceramic products will begin in the southern province of Binh Duong on National Day (September 2) to mark the 1,000 th anniversary of Hanoi.
The festival will include an exhibition of products made by 50 ceramic and porcelain businesses from 19 craft villages nationwide, according to the provincial cultural, sports and tourism department.
Some of the most impressive products on display are the Van Lang bowl, the Sen Vang (Golden Lotus) cup and the Hon Viet (Soul of the Vietnamese) cup.
These large and complex pieces, which have been hand-made by 22 craftsmen from the Minh Long Ceramics and Porcelain Company over almost five years, portray various phases of Vietnam ’s history.
The festival will run until September 8./.
