Festival exhibits made-in-Vietnam ceramic ware

A festival highlighting Vietnamese ceramic products will begin in the southern province of Binh Duong on National Day (September 2) to mark the 1,000 th anniversary of Hanoi.
A festival highlighting Vietnamese ceramic products will begin in thesouthern province of Binh Duong on National Day (September 2) tomark the 1,000 th anniversary of Hanoi.

The festival willinclude an exhibition of products made by 50 ceramic and porcelainbusinesses from 19 craft villages nationwide, according to theprovincial cultural, sports and tourism department.

Some of themost impressive products on display are the Van Lang bowl, the Sen Vang(Golden Lotus) cup and the Hon Viet (Soul of the Vietnamese) cup.

Theselarge and complex pieces, which have been hand-made by 22 craftsmenfrom the Minh Long Ceramics and Porcelain Company over almost fiveyears, portray various phases of Vietnam ’s history.

The festival will run until September 8./.
