Fisheries Surveillance Force receives modern patrol ship
The Ha Long Shipbuilding Co., Ltd on June 30 handed over to the
Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force a patrol ship, the most modern of
its kind so far.

Vietnam Fisheries Surveillance Force a patrol ship, the most modern of
its kind so far.
The 90.5m-long ship, coded KN-781, was built using design and technology of the Netherlands’ Damen Group.
The ship has a displacement of 2,500 tonnes and a maximum speed of 21 nautical miles per hour. It can operate continuously at sea for many days and is equipped with modern search and rescue tools. There is also a helicopter deck on the ship
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dang Huy Hau said that the new ship will allow the Vietnamese fisheries surveillance force to better carry out their law enforcement tasks and assist fishermen at sea.-VNA
