Hanoi allocates over 567 billion VND for gifts to policy beneficiaries for Tet

The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued Plan No. 347/KH-UBND outlining gift-giving plans for policy beneficiaries. These include people with meritorious services, retirees, those receiving monthly incapacity allowances, poor and near-poor households, social protection beneficiaries, the elderly, and public employees and workers facing especially difficult circumstances. The initiative is set to take place on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

The 15th National Assembly approved an extension of the 2% value-added tax (VAT) reduction. The reduction applies to specific goods and services listed in Point a, Section 1.1, Clause 1, Article 3 of Resolution No. 43 on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Programme. The extended policy will be effective from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025.
