Hanoi beauty crowned Miss Vietnam 2010

Dang Thi Ngoc Han, a 21-year-old arts student from Hanoi was crowned Miss Vietnam 2010 after beating 36 other candidates nationwide at Tuan Chau resort in the northern province of Quang Ninh on August 14.

Han, who stands 1.73m and has measurements of 83-63-93, is studyingat the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts and has been modellingsince she was 16.

Vu Thi Hoang My, 22, from thesouthern province of Dong Nai and Pham Thuy Trang, 19, from HoChi Minh City were named first and second runners up at the end of thenational beauty contest, which has been held every two years since1988.

The organising board also presented the MissTalent title to Nguyen Pham Bich Tram from Dong Nai and the Miss Seatitle to Nguyen Thi Loan from the northern province of Thai Binh.

Huynh Bich Phuong, a student from Ho Chi MinhCity ’s Raffles University , won Miss Beautiful Face and Most Votedawards while the Miss Amity title went to Nguyen Bao Ngoc from theHanoi University of Foreign Trade./.

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts. They also enjoyed traditional dances from many regions of Thailand, tried making Khanom Krok coconut cakes and painting patterns on silk, among other activities.

Book week in Hanoi invites children to the wonderland of British tales
