Hanoi discovers five more COVID-19 cases in community
Hanoi (VNA) – The capital city of Hanoi logged five more COVID-19 cases in
the community in the past 12 hours to 6am on October 10, bringing the total local
transmissions in the past two days to seven, reported the municipal Department of Health.
Of new
cases, three were found in Nam Tu Liem district, one in Ba Dinh district and another in
Tay Ho district.
Competent agencies are quickly tracing, testing and quarantining those
concerned to prevent the virus from spreading in the community.
Since
April 29, Hanoi has recorded 3,980 cases, including 1,608 in the community and
the remainders in quarantined establishments.
Earlier,
a SARS-CoV-2 positive case was discovered at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in
Hoan Kiem district.
The district People's Committee directed the local medical centre to work with the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control to lock down and disinfect the entire D building of the hospital./.
