Hanoi to host Miss Multicultural World

Miss Multicultural World 2026, a beauty pageant founded by a Vietnamese organiser, will be held in Hanoi for the first time.

Hanoi (VNA) – Miss Multicultural World 2026, a beauty pageant founded by a Vietnamese organiser, will be held in Hanoi for the first time.

The information was announced on January 31 by Phan Oanh Media, the event’s organiser.

Beauty queen Phan Kim Oanh said that in 2026, Phan Oanh Media will organise two major beauty pageants at the Ho Guom Theatre. This will mark the first time Vietnam hosts a culture-centred beauty competition, placing culture at the core of its values and aiming to honour cultural and artistic values as well as the sustainable beauty of Vietnamese women in particular and women worldwide.

Accordingly, the final night of Miss Vietnam Culture 2026 is scheduled for April 5, while the grand final of Miss Multicultural World 2026 is expected to take place on June 28.

Beauty queen Phan Kim Oanh will serve as both head of the Organising Committee and chair of the jury for the competitions. She was crowned Mrs Grand International 2022 and is the first beauty queen in Vietnam to hold her title for two consecutive terms.
The choice of an iconic artistic venue in the capital reflects an effort to return beauty contests to their core values, where physical beauty goes hand in hand with cultural depth and contemporary artistic expression.
For Miss Vietnam Culture 2026, the organisers have expanded eligibility to unmarried contestants aged 17–33. The winner will represent Vietnam at Miss Multicultural World 2026 in June, while the first runner-up will compete in Miss Eco International 2026 in May in Egypt.

Miss Multicultural World has attracted registrations from representatives of more than 30 countries. It is expected to welcome around 50 countries and territories this season, including Japan, the US, India, Myanmar, Liberia, the Philippines, Singapore, Nepal, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

Hosting the competition is seen as an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its national image and demonstrate its capacity to organise beauty events at international scale.

Oanh said that she will continue organising pageants for mature women, such as Mrs Grand Vietnam and Mrs Earth Vietnam, aimed at honouring the role, intellect, and social contributions of modern women.

“I hope to develop pageants with a clear orientation that promote positive lifestyles and sustainable values,” Oanh said./.
