Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro), a multi-sector State-owned enterprise, has sent a delegation to Angola to seek trade partnerships.

The company and its members intend to build warehouses, open store chains, and invest in a number of sectors including woodwork and food processing in Luanda and Benguela provinces.

During their trip, the delegation met up with top officials of the Angolan provinces and introduced them to their plan.

The head of the Southern African country’s department for private investment sector and mayors of the target localities warmly welcomed the firm’s move.

The mayors presented some potential land available for rent and the department approved a project from the Nam ngoi sao Company, a Hapro’s member, within a week.

Hapro has exported rice to the Angolan market thus far and will soon open a distribution centre in the port city, Lobito, paving the way for other products to enter surrounding markets.

So far, Hapro has had 2 HAPRO Shopping Centres, 3 Market Centres, 40 supermarkets and HaproMart convenient stores, 44 Haprofood shops selling guaranteed products and other specialised store systems across Vietnam.-VNA
