Hanoi’s December industrial production index up 4.7 percent

The industrial production index of Hanoi for December sees an increase of 4.7 percent over last month’s figure, municipal statistics show.

This marks a 10.4 percent increase year-on-year and makes the index ofthe whole this year rise by 4.5 percent against last year’s.

Mining records an increase of 21.8 percent; processing andmanufacturing industry, 4.3 percent; electric and gas distribution, 8.7percent; and water supply and waste water treatment, 8 percent.

Other sectors posting high increases include garment, chemicals, and metallurgy.-VNA
