HCM City (VNA)– Ho Chi Minh City will do its utmost to nurture the traditional friendshipbetween Vietnam and Cambodia, Vice Secretary of the municipal Party CommitteeVo Thi Dung affirmed on May 24.

Welcoming deputy headof the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee’s Commission forPropaganda and Education Cheam Sophal, Dung congratulated Cambodia on itsdevelopment achievements under the leadership of the CPP and the reign of KingNorodom Sihamoni.

She stressed thatduring the integration process, the two ruling Parties have cooperated ineducating the two peoples, especially youths, on bilateral relations.

Ho Chi Minh City iswilling to create favourable conditions to boost collaboration between the twocountries and their localities, she stressed.

For his part, CheamSophal stated that his commission’s working delegation visited Vietnam thistime to learn about the country’s experience in theoretical research andpersonnel training.

He expressed his hopethat the two countries will maintain their win-win cooperation. –VNA

Foreign policy contributes to propelling Vietnam into new era

2024 saw Vietnam significantly expanding its diplomatic activities with numerous partners and at various important multilateral forums and mechanisms. The country’s key leaders conducted a total of 60 external activities, including paying 21 visits to foreign countries and attend major multilateral conferences, as well as hosting 25 delegations of foreign leaders to Vietnam.
