HCM City (VNA) – The Indian-based group Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL) hasplan to establish an information and technology (IT) centre in Ho Chi MinhCity, which will provide training and recruite some 10,000 IT engineers in thenext five years, said HCL Executive Vice President Sanja Gupta.

Meeting with Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen in HCM City on May 17, he said that the southern city has favourable conditions to develop HCL's IT centreproject.

He spoke highly of the IT labour forces’ capacity in Vietnam, describing it as animportant factor to ensure the success of IT service in the future.

A full report on the plan to build IT centre in HCM City will be submitted toHCL senior leaders for approval this July.  Once approved, work on the ITcentre will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, he said.

Tuyen, for his part, affirmed that the corporation’s development strategy is in line with the city’s potential and development roadmap.

HCM City pledges to fully implement preferential policies for foreigninvestors, including those operating in the IT sector, he underlined.

HCL has more than 40 years of experience in IT, with some 140,000 labourers in44 countries around the world.-VNA

Construction of AEON Hai Duong Shopping Centre kicked off

With a total investment of around 1.18 trillion VND (45.6 million USD), the AEON Hai Duong Shopping Centre is designed with a total floor area of approximately 3.6 hectares. Spanning an estimated gross floor area (GFA) of roughly 38,100 sq.m, the shopping centre will feature ample parking space for nearly 600 cars and 1,200 motorcycles.
