Hanoi (VNA)- The Asia's premier golf tournament - International Series Vietnam 2023 - willtake place in Cam Ranh, the south-central coastal province of KhanhHoa, from April 13-16, marking its return to Vietnam after seven years.

As part of the AsianTour and the International Series closely affiliated with LIV Golf, the tournament will bring together 156 golfers.

This year's eventwill feature four days of competition. After two days of play, golfers from the 65th place will advance to the final two rounds tocompete for a total prize worth up to 2 million USD. Over 1,000 spectators areexpected to come to the event.

Over the past five years, the standing of golf in Vietnam hasshifted. With many new golf courses being built, along with practice costs beingmuch reduced, the number of Vietnamese golfers has increased rapidly.

At present, Vietnam has morethan 60,000 golfers, four times the number in 2015. Along with the nearly 100golf courses that have been put into operation, it is enough to show theoutstanding development of this sport in recent times.

The hosting of the tournament presents agreat opportunity to popularise the images of Vietnam and Khanh Hoa province inparticular to international friends.

It is a time when the entire golf communityneed to come together to prove why Vietnam has been continuously voted as"Asia's Most Attractive Golf Destination" and "World's MostAttractive Golf Destination”. Only then can Vietnamese golf have a place on the world golfmap, as well as expect bigger tournaments of the Asia Tour, DP World Tour orPGA Tour to come to the country in the future./.
