The Kuwaiti Government will provide 14.6million USD in loans through the Kuwait Fund to help central Ha Tinhprovince develop its infrastructure.

The loans contract wassigned in Hanoi on March 25 by Deputy Finance Minister Tran Xuan Ha andKuwait Fund Deputy General Director Hesham Al-Waqayan.

Addressingthe signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Ha said the signing of the loanscontract provides evidence of the increasing development of the closeeconomic cooperation between the two countries.

The FinanceMinistry said that through the Kuwait Fund, the Kuwaiti State has fundednine projects in Vietnam with a total loan of 38 million Kuwaiti dina(140 million USD).

The capital has been poured into rural infrastructure projects and small-scale irrigation and traffic works in poor provinces.

Anumber of projects have been put into operation, including the DauTieng reservoir, the Van Dinh irrigation scheme and Dac Ta-Ngoc Linhroad segment./.
