Thisis the first visit to the European country by Prime Minister Najib,said Malaysian Ambassador to the Netherlands Mohamad Taib, adding it isexpected to open a new chapter in bilateral relations.
During thevisit, PM Najib is scheduled to meet his Dutch counterpart Mark Ruttein The Hague to talk the progress of the disaster victim identification(DVI) at Hilversum, where the victims of the crash of Malaysia Arlines(MAS) flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine were undergoing identification.
The two leaders will deal with and the repatriation of the remains of the Malaysian victims of the crash.
PMNajib will sign the condolence book opened by the Dutch government. Hewill visit and lay a wreath at Hilversum, and meet the head ofinternational identification group of 200 forensic experts.
All298 people on board were killed in the MH 17 crash on July 17 in easternUkraine, including 193 Dutch citizens and 43 Malaysians.
Malaysiais the Netherlands’ biggest trading partner in Southeast Asia while theEuropean country is Malaysia’s second trade partner in Europe afterGermany.-VNA
