- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse and the Vietnamesedelegation arrived at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai city, lateNovember 30, starting a trip to attend the World Climate Action Summit in theframework of the 28th United Nations climate change conference(COP28) and bilateral activities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from November30 to December 3, at the invitation of the UAE Government.

The PM and his entourage were met at the airport byrepresentatives from the COP28 organisers and the UAE Ministry of ForeignAffairs, and Vietnamese Ambassador to the UAE Nguyen Manh Tuan, among others. Read full story

- Prime Minister PhamMinh Chinh concluded his official visit to Türkiye and left Ankara forDubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on November 30 to attend the WorldClimate Summit in the framework of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UNFramework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) and engage in bilateralactivities at the invitation of the UAE Government. 

Earlier on the day, the PM visited the Turkish AerospaceIndustries (TAI) in Ankara and held a working session with the firm'sexecutives to explore measures to promote bilateral cooperation in the defenceindustry in the coming time. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested Türkiye recogniseVietnam’s full market economy status and the two sides negotiate a free tradeagreement while addressing a business forum in Ankara on November 30 (localtime).

Jointly held by the Vietnamese Ministry ofPlanning and Investment, the Vietnamese Embassy in Türkiye, and the ForeignEconomic Relations Board of Türkiye, the event brought together representativesfrom ministries, agencies and localities, and nearly 200 corporate leaders ofthe two countries. Read full story

- President Vo Van Thuong, his spouse, and a high-rankingdelegation of Vietnam arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi onNovember 30 evening, concluding the four-day official visit to Japan at theinvitation of the Japanese State.

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and hisspouse hosted a welcome ceremony for Thuong and his spouse. The President andthe PM then held their talks, reviewing the achievements made in theVietnam-Japan diplomatic relations over the past five decades and outliningstronger cooperation directions for the future. Read full story

- President of the Cambodian National Assembly (NA) Samdech MohaRathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary arrived in Hanoi on November 30evening, beginning an official visit to Vietnam from November 30-December 2 atthe invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

- Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)Executive Council Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang has described Party GeneralSecretary Nguyen Phu Trong's book on the promotion of the great nationalsolidarity tradition as a guidance for the VBS to strengthen its place in thenational great unity bloc.

- Vietnamese Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra heldtalks with French Minister of Public Transformation and Service StanislasGuérini in Hanoi on November 30.

Minister Tra hailed the minister’s visit as a significantmilestone as the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of theirdiplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership. Read full story

- The 15th Vietnam-Chinainternational trade and tourism fair opened in Mong Cai City, in the northernborder province of Quang Ninh on November 30.

The fair has been held in turn by Mong Cai andChina’s Dongxing City since 2006, and is included in the annual national tradepromotion programme of the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. Read full story

- The ongoing National Action Month forHIV/AIDS Prevention and Control 2023 is themed “Creative community -Determination to end the AIDS pandemic by 2030”, which stresses the need forthe entire community’s engagement in the work.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Thu Huong, Director ofthe Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control under the Ministry of Health,said the country is assessed by international organisations as a bright spot inthe global map of the HIV/AIDS fight. -  Vietnam's Ong Cua ST25 rice has won the first prize at theWorld’s Best Rice 2023 competition, within the framework of the 2023International World Rice Conference Summit in Cebu, Philippines from November28-30.

The contest was organised by The Rice Trader, a publicationproviding in-depth analysis of the global rice industry. Thirty rice samplesfrom more than 10 countries took part in this year’s edition. The ST25 ricefrom Vietnam became the winner of the competition, followed by Cambodian andIndian rice varieties./. Read full story

Historical foundation, future momentum for Vietnam–France ties

The historical dialogue between Vietnam and France had at times been very tense, but this process helped the two sides understand and respect each other better. Greater mutual understanding built over time has created conditions for cooperation at many levels today, a French scholar has said.

In particular, the Politburo recently issued Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW on overseas Vietnamese affairs, General Secretary and President To Lam, emphasising that in the time ahead, the Party and State will continue to improve institutions, and adopt comprehensive, open and breakthrough mechanisms and policies to connect with, attract and effectively mobilise the resources of overseas Vietnamese, particularly intellectuals, experts, entrepreneurs, scientists and young people.

Fresh impetus for Vietnam - France cooperation on new journey

Vietnam-France relations have been nurtured over generations through historical, cultural, educational and scientific ties, as well as extensive people-to-people exchanges. Despite the ups and downs of history, the two countries have successfully built a relationship of friendship, equality and mutual respect, looking towards the future together.

Vietnam-France cooperation hoped to be expanded

Vietnam and France should also build a forward-looking, mutually beneficial partnership in which stronger economic and industrial ties serve as an indispensable foundation, said Dr. Benoît de Tréglodé, Director (Africa - Asia - Middle East) at the Institute of Strategic Research (IRSEM) under the French Ministry of Armed Forces.

Top Vietnamese leader meets Russian Communist Party chief

To deepen the two parties' ties at bilateral and multilateral levels, the top Vietnamese leader proposed both sides effectively follow the agreement on further expanding and deepening inter-Party relations, especially by increasing high-level delegation exchanges and promptly sharing information on each Party's key activities.

Top leader’s upcoming visit to renew vitality of Vietnam-France friendship

Chairman of the France-Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV) Nguyen Hai Nam said the trip demonstrates that France is truly a special partner of Vietnam in Europe. France can serve as a gateway for Vietnam to access the European Union (EU), while Vietnam can be France’s entry point for deeper engagement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

General Secretary and President To Lam begins state visit to Russia

As scheduled, the top Vietnamese leader will receive Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Gennady Ziuganov, the Russian War Veterans’ Association and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, and have a meeting with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Russia.

Vietnam's top legislator meets with Democratic Party of Korea leader

Lauding the friendship and sound cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the DPK in recent years, NA President Tran Thanh Man called on both sides to continue effectively following their 2019 cooperation agreement, and foster political trust and mutual understanding by maintaining all-level delegation exchanges and meetings.
