- President To Lam on July 25 received a high-ranking Cambodian delegation led by Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of the Cambodian Senate, who are in Hanoi to attend the state funeral of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Hun Sen conveyed the condolences from the CPP, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, National Assembly, Senate and people of Cambodia to the Party, State, National Assembly and people of Vietnam over the passing of Party General Secretary Trong. Read full story

- High-ranking delegations from Laos, China, Cambodia, Russia, Cuba paid their last respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 25, expressing their grief for the death of the Vietnamese Party leader.
In the condolence book, Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith noted the profound sadness at the death of General Secretary Trong. He wrote that the Lao Party, State, and people will always remember the General Secretary’s great merit and invaluable contributions to the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam. - President To Lam hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 25 for Wang Huning, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, who leads the Chinese Party and State delegation to the state funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi.
President Lam expressed heartfelt gratitude to the CPC Central Committee for its prompt and sincere message of condolence. - As many as 1,565 delegations with 55,600 people paid their final respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi, the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, and his hometown in Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Hanoi's outlying district of Dong Anh from 7am to 9pm on July 25.
