- President To Lam on June 25 signed a decision on the presentation of gifts to revolution contributors on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

The beneficiaries include women holding the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother, wounded and sick soldiers, those serving the resistance wars and suffering from toxic chemicals, relatives of martyrs, representatives of martyrs’ relatives, and persons in charge of worshiping martyrs (in case a martyr doesn’t have any relatives).Read full story

-Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised Vietnam’s policy on promoting innovation-driven economic growth while attending a dialogue with the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s startup and innovator community as part of the WEF’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024 in Dalian city, China, on June 25.

At the meeting with Kim Sanghyup, held in Dalian at the sideline of the WEF’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024 in Dalian, China, PM Chinh asked the RoK to continue assisting Vietnam in development research and innovation, and in implementing strategic tasks to adapt to climate change and reduce emissions as part of the bilateral framework agreement on climate change cooperation.Read full story

-Vietnam’s economic growth in the second quarter of 2024 and June are likely to reach 6.2% and 6% respectively as set by the Government, said Nguyen Duc Tam, Director of the Department for National Economic Issues under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
