- Party General Secretary To Lam presided over a meeting on implementing the Politburo's Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development in Hanoi on September 9.

Addressing the event, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW has garnered widespread attention from teachers, parents, students, and experts, reflecting strong consensus and confidence that this is a timely and sound step, reinforcing public trust in the education sector’s strategic reforms. - The Politburo’s Working Group No.1, led by State President and Politburo member Luong Cuong, held working sessions with the Standing Boards of the Ca Mau and Hung Yen provincial Party Committees on September 9 to review preparations for the provincial Party congresses for the 2025 – 2030 tenure.

Group members gave feedback on key draft documents for the provincial Party congresses, including political reports, reports reviewing the leadership and direction of the Standing Boards, personnel plans, the draft resolutions of the congresses, and action programmes to implement the resolutions. - Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh presided over a meeting on September 9 with leaders of ministries and sectors to assess the enforcement of laws on decentralisation, delegation of authority, and delineation of responsibilities, as well as finalise a report for submission to the Politburo.

Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra reported that all 16 ministries and ministerial-level agencies, along with 30 of 34 localities, submitted assessments identifying obstacles in implementing the legal framework on decentralisation and delegation. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired Politburo working sessions with the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of Tay Ninh and Tuyen Quang provinces to give feedback on draft documents and personnel plans for the upcoming provincial Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 tenure.

The Politburo’s working group No.2 reviewed the key draft documents to be submitted to the congresses, including political reports, ones on the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committees’ Standing Boards for 2020-2025, personnel plans, and congress resolutions. Read full story

- Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung and Lao Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane discussed ways to strengthen ties between their ministries and countries during their phone talks on September 9.

Thongsavanh congratulated Vietnam on the successful organisation of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, while praising Vietnam’s significant and comprehensive diplomatic achievements. - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc on September 9 held a working session with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam Choi Young Sam and representatives of Korean businesses.

Deputy PM Phoc noted that Vietnam and the RoK are enjoying the most robust period of their relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties. The RoK is Vietnam’s largest foreign investor with accumulated FDI of 87 billion USD, while two-way trade has reached 81.5 billion USD. Pilot gender equality index for public sector unveiled in Hanoi

NA Vice Chairman pays Christmas visit to Can Tho Diocese
