Hanoi (VNA) – The 45th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on May 8, according to an announcement of the NA Office.
NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.
During the three-day session on May 8, 15 and 16, the committee will discuss the draft law on revising and supplementing some articles of the Law on the Organisation of the National Assembly; and the government’s reports about socio-economic development plans and State budget in 2019 and early 2020.
It is also expected to consider the NA’s draft resolution on issues related to the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), and deliberate the national socio-economic development target programme for ethnic minorities and mountainous regions in 2021-2030.
Participants will also opine on the NA’s draft resolution on piloting the e-government model in central Da Nang city, and another on a number of specific financial and budget mechanisms and policies for Hanoi capital./.
