Hanoi (VNA) – GeneralSecretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Nguyen Phu Trong hasapplauded substantive progress in Party building work as a result of the implementation of theResolution of the 4th plenum of the 12th Party CentralCommittee and the Politburo’s Directive 05 on following the moral example of PresidentHo Chi Minh.

The Party leader chaired ameeting of the Politburo on March 21 to discuss the reports of five inspectionteams regarding the performance of 15 Party committees and Party organisations inimplementing Resolution of the 4th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee on Party building and the Politburo’s Directive 05 onfollowing the ideology, moral example and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh.

He noted that the implementationof the documents has brought about real changes in the awareness and actions ofcadres and Party members, contributing to tightening Party discipline andorder, producing practical outcomes.

General Secretary Trong said the15 Party committees and Party organisations selected for inspection representeddifferent areas, regions and sectors. Each of them has undertaken new andinnovative methods to help Party cadres and members grasp the importance of thetwo Party documents. The Party committees and organisations have alsoimplemented result-oriented actions, thus producing substantial and concreteresults.

He noted that the performance ofthe Party committees and organisations has become more even among regions andsectors, which is translated into economic growth and progress in otheraspects.  

Besides the progress, thePolitburo analysed the shortcomings and mistakes of the Party committees andorganisations that were revealed in the inspection. They also recommended keytasks to be carried out in the time ahead.-VNA
