The host stressed that Vietnam attachesimportance and gives priority to consolidating and expanding thecomprehensive cooperation with the CPP and Cambodia.

Hesuggested the two sides work closer in exchanging information andraising awareness, especially among the youth, of the special tiesbetween the two Parties, States and people.

General SecretaryTrong thanked the CPP and Cambodian people for their valuable support toVietnam over the years and wished the Cambodian people a happy New Yearin honour of their upcoming traditional New Year festival Chol ChnamThmay .

For her part, Men Sam An, who is also CambodianDeputy Prime Minister, highlighted the effective cooperation betweenthe CPP and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) as well as the twocountries in recent time, affirming that the CPP, the Cambodian Stateand people will do their utmost to nurture and strengthen the bilateralrelations.

The Cambodian guest pledged her country will continue to partner with Vietnam to effectively implement cooperation agreements.

Shealso congratulated Vietnam on achievements in its national renewal andconstruction process, expressing her belief that the country willaccelerate its renewal process and reap success in the future under theleadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Thesame day, Men Sam An met with Ngo Van Du, Politburo member, Secretaryof the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’sInspection Commission.

The two sides discussedplans and measures to promote cooperation between the CPV and the CPP aswell as the two nations.

A cooperation agreement between the two parties was signed during the talks.-VNA

Belgian King Philippe's visit, accompanied by senior officials, business leaders, representatives of universities and research institutes, would create new momentum to deepen and enhance the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium in a practical and effective way, meeting the benefits of their people and contributing responsibly to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.

To further strengthen Vietnam-Belgium relations, especially parliamentary cooperation, both sides agreed to enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, particularly between parliamentary committees and friendship groups. They also pledged to share legislative and supervisory experience, coordinate positions in international organisations, support each other’s candidacies for UN bodies, and effectively implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
