Petrol prices go up to 17,486 VND per litre

Hanoi (VNA) - The domestic retail price of RON 92 petrol increased by 461 VND to trade at a maximum of 17,486 VND (77 US cents) per litre, as of 3pm on August 19.

The increase was made according to the latest decision of the ministries of industry and trade and finance.

The price of E5 bio-fuel also rose by 431 VND to a maximum of 17,254 VND per litre. The prices of diesel and kerosene remained unchanged, standing at 13,795 VND and 12,398 VND, respectively.

Meanwhile, the maximum price of mazut was 11,105 VND per kilo, an increase of 8 VND.

The MoIT and the Ministry of Finance also decided to keep using the price stabilisation fund for RON92 petrol at 110 VND per litre. The use of the fund for E5 biofuel remained at 90 VND per litre.

Meanwhile, the use of the fund for diesel was 27 VND per litre and, for kerosene it was 185 VND per litre.

In the latest adjustment on August 4, domestic retail prices of RON 92 petrol and bio-fuel E5 rose by 599 VND and 572 VND per litre to 17,025 VND and 16,823 VND, respectively.-VNA
