Hanoi (VNA) – A photo contest on Vietnamese and Japanese youthsjoining hands in fostering friendship was launched in Hanoi on July 31 by theMinistry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Youth FederationCentral Committee.
The contest, part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic tiesbetween Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973), aims to improve young people’sunderstanding of the bilateral ties as well as friendship between the twopeoples, helping Japanese people and the youth in particular gain a deeperinsight into Vietnam’s land and people in the integration process.
The contest is open to all youth, amateur and professional photographers andreporters from Vietnam and Japan.
Photos should capture the solidarity,friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, diplomatic activities,cultural exchanges and economic and political events taking place in bothcountries, beautiful images of the land, people, customs, and the specialcultural characteristics, national construction and socio-economic achievementsof the two nations.
The organising board will present onefirst, two second, five third and five consolidation prizes with a total valueof 90 million VND (3,858 VND).
