Picturesque Hoan Trung community tourism site in Lang Son
About 160 km from Hanoi, Hoan Trung hamlet in Chien Thang commune, Bac Son district in the northern province of Lang Son has emerged as an attractive community-based tourist destination.
The hamlet now has five households registering for homestay business. Covering an area of 325 ha, located in a valley of majestic limestone mountains with a system of diverse and fascinating caves, the hamlet boasts of its poetic scenery, where traditional stilt houses of Tay ethnic minority group are nestled in large orchards of mandarin and custard apple. An international conference took place in Lang Son on November 29 to discuss how to take advantage of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in building a 3,900-sqkm geopark in the northern mountainous province.
The northern mountainous province of Lang Son, which has 83.16 percent of its population being ethnic minority people, has been implementing a series of measures to improve the spiritual and material life of ethnic communities.
