HCM City (VNA) - Pop star Ho Ngoc Ha is set for her first world tour named Love Songs next month.
Love Songs will feature 14 shows in the US, Australia, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
She will perform 20 songs for 90 minutes at each show along with talented musicians.
At her first show in Houston, the US, Ha, who began her career by singing pop and dance music but has turned recently to R&B, will perform jazz, blues and R&B music.
The evening’s highlights will include romantic songs from her latest albums, Destiny and What Is Love?, which came out late last year and quickly became top hits.
"My crew and I have worked hard the whole year to provide my fans with something new," the 33-year-old says.
“It will be great when I sing for overseas Vietnamese.”
In the US, she will then perform in San Diego, San Jose, Denver, Dallas and Atlanta.
She has invited several young singers like Noo Phuoc Thinh, Ngo Kien Huy, Giang Hong Ngoc, and Bui Anh Tuan to perform along with her.
Ha began her singing career in 2004 after earlier working as a model, overcoming many challenges to become arguably the most famous young singer in the country.
Her first album, 24 Gio 7 Ngay (24 Hours 7 Days), helped her establish herself.
In 2009 her top hit Xin Hay Thu Tha (My Apologies), a song featuring pop and rap music, became a phenomenon though critics gave the music mixed reviews.
She was chosen for the Asia Song Festival in Seoul the same year.
Her first live performance, called Ho Ngoc Ha Live Concert 2011, used high-tech equipment to dazzle an audience of more than 3,000 at the Lan Anh Entertainment Club in HCM City.
Ha has won several prestigious prizes like the Year’s Best Singer, Best Album and Best Concert from HCM City Television, Voice of HCM City and The Thao & Van Hoa (Sport& Culture) newspaper. She has performed in several TV shows and films.
For her first world tour, Love Songs, Ha has worked hard on her voice and performance skills. Her costumes will be designed by young talent Ly Quy Khanh.
After the US, Ha will visit Australia in August and Europe later.-VNA
