Bac Ninh (VNA) – Vice President of theCuban National Assembly (NA) of People’s Power Ana Maria Machado pledged tocreate favourable conditions for businesses from Bac Ninh to operate in the Caribbeannation, while visiting the Vietnamese northern province on September 19.

The Cuban legislature will work to enhance andtighten relations with Vietnam across spheres, and expand cooperation betweenCuban localities and their Vietnamese counterparts, including Bac Ninh, sheaffirmed.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee NguyenAnh Tuan briefed Machado and her entourage on Bac Ninh’s geographicalconditions, history, culture, and socio-economic development, saying apart fromeconomic development, the locality has paid attention to health care, educationand social welfare.

The official expressed his hope that the Cubandelegation’s visit will open up and establish new cooperation channels betweenBac Ninh and Cuban localities.

Tuan also called on the Cuban side to facilitate cooperationbetween Bac Ninh-based DABACO Group and Cuban firms in such areas as high-techagriculture and vaccine production./.

Foreign policy contributes to propelling Vietnam into new era

2024 saw Vietnam significantly expanding its diplomatic activities with numerous partners and at various important multilateral forums and mechanisms. The country’s key leaders conducted a total of 60 external activities, including paying 21 visits to foreign countries and attend major multilateral conferences, as well as hosting 25 delegations of foreign leaders to Vietnam.
