Press release on closing session of Party Central Committee’s 13th meeting

The closing session of the 13th meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee took place on October 8 morning under the chair of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Hanoi (VNA) - The closing session of the 13th meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee took place on October 8 morning under the chair of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang, presented the Politburo’s report on acquirement and explanation regarding the draft political report for submission to the 14th Party Congress; the draft summary report on certain theoretical and practical issues of the “Doi moi” (renewal) process under socialist orientation over the past 40 years in Vietnam; the draft summary report on the 15-year implementation of the Party Regulations for submission to the 14th National Party Congress; the timing, content, and agenda, working regulations and election regulations of the 14th National Party Congress.

Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh delivered the Politburo’s report on acquirement and explanation regarding a report on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan in 2025 and the proposed plan for 2026; a report on state budget performance in 2025, budget estimates for 2026, and national financial plans for the next three years, and the next five years.

The Party Central Committee discussed and gage opinions on the above-mentioned contents and approved the Resolution of the 13th meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee. Party General Secretary To Lam delivered the closing remarks at the event.

The Party Central Committee urged the entire Party, people, and armed forces to join hands with unity and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, promptly address the consequences of natural disasters and storms, restore and promote production and business, stabilise people’s lives, ensure national defence and security, successfully accomplish the socio-economic development tasks for 2025, and effectively organise Party congresses of provinces, cities and Party organisations directly under the Party Central Committee in the lead up to the 14th National Party Congress./.
