Quang Ninh to host 33rd television festival

The 33 rd National Television Festival will be held in the northern province of Quang Ninh from December 18-21 with 527 works made by 104 production units competing.

The information wasreleased at the December 16 press conference held by the festival’sorganizers in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh.

Hosted bythe Vietnam Television, the event aims to honour excellent, creativeproducts, while offering an opportunity for production units to shareinformation and experience to overcome challenges facing the sector.

Two international conferences will also be held within the festival’sframework, focusing on television copyright, the digitalisation ofterrestrial television, and the production of programmes in languages ofethnic minority groups.

In the previous event inthe central Nge An province, a TV serial entitled Dan Troi (Heaven’sAltar) won a Gold Prize. The 36-episode serial, directed by Bui HuyThuan, was about the fight against corruption in a mountainousprovince.-VNA
