Hanoi (VNA) – To meet rising travel demand during the four-day New Year 2026 holiday from January 1 to 4, Vietnam Railways will operate additional passenger trains and attach extra carriages to existing services, providing a total of 20,000 extra seats.
According to the operator, around 13,400 seats will come from supplementary services on key routes.
Alongside the new services, the company will also attach additional carriages to the North–South Reunification trains and other daily routes, supplying about 6,600 more seats.
The additional capacity is aimed at ensuring safe, convenient and sufficient transport options for passengers during the peak holiday period, while supporting smooth nationwide travel demand./.
