Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam raised the daily reference exchange rate for May 22 to 22,595 VND/USD, up 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,272 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,918 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, the opening hour rates at major commercial banks declined slightly compared to May 21.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV are listing their buying rate at 22,740 VND/USD and selling rate at 22,810 VND/USD, down 5 VND.

Techcombank kept its rates unchanged at 22,725 VND/USD (buying) and 22,825 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
