Reference exchange rate up at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange at 25,126 VND on July 14, down 2 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange at 25,126 VND on July 14, down 2 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,382 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,870 VND/USD.

At 8:20 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also saw increases.

Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,930 VND/USD and the selling rate 26,290 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from the July 11 morning session./.

Industrial production posts strong growth in first two months

According to the National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Finance, the index of industrial production (IIP) in February was estimated to decrease 18.4% from the previous month but increase 1% year on year. Overall, in the January–February period, the IIP rose 10.4% compared with the same period last year.

Nghe An steps up reforms to attract FDI

In 2025, the provincial People’s Committee licensed 25 new FDI projects and approved capital adjustments for 20 others, bringing the total newly registered and additional investment to more than 1 billion USD.
