Japanese trading conglomerate Mitsubishi Corp. is planning to cooperate with Thailand’s renewable-energy developers to develop a massive onshore wind farm in Laos that will supply electricity to Vietnam, Nikkei Asia reported on June 17.

The Lao Ministry of Health said on June 15 that compulsory quarantine will be applied to those who have close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients.

A delegation from the Lao province of Vientiane on June 14 handed over 100 million LAK (10,577 USD) to the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos to assist the fight against COVID-19 in northern Hai Duong province of Vietnam.
