Moscow (VNA) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has arrived in Cambodia, the last stopover on his Asian tour, announced the Russian government’s press service on November 22.
Medvedev will hold talks with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen and meet with King Norodom Sihamoni.
It is expected that the two PMs will witness the signing of six bilateral documents, including a cooperation agreement between the Cambodian People’s Party and the All-Russian Political Party “United Russia”; an agreement on information exchange concerning money laundering and terrorism financing; two deals on investment; and two MoUs between Cambodia’s national press agency and national radio and Russia’s Sputnik News Agency.
Cambodia is Russia ’s traditional partner in Southeast Asia . In May 2016, the two countries will mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
According to a source from the Russian mission, the three-day visit of the Russian PM is aimed at strengthening the comprehensive ties between the two states with a focus on expanded trade-and-economic, investment, military technical and humanitarian cooperation.-VNA
