Samsung Vietnam donates 10 billion VND to support flood victims

Of the total, 5 billion VND will be transferred to the VFF Central Committee for distribution to affected localities, while the remaining amount will be presented directly to the VFF Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces, each receiving 2.5 billion VND.

Hanoi (VNA) – Samsung Vietnam on October 14 donated 10 billion VND (over 379,000 USD) to help residents in flood-hit provinces overcome the consequences of recent storms, responding to the appeal of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee.

Of the total, 5 billion VND will be transferred to the VFF Central Committee for distribution to affected localities, while the remaining amount will be presented directly to the VFF Committees of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces, each receiving 2.5 billion VND.

Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, expressed his hope that this contribution would help people in the affected areas recover from the damage caused by typhoons Bualoi and Matmo. Samsung factories across Vietnam have also launched various donation activities to support communities in rebuilding their lives after the floods.

He affirmed that Samsung remains committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and sharing difficulties with the local people.

Receiving the donation, President of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien pledged that it will be distributed promptly, transparently, and effectively, ensuring that affected communities receive timely support.

The same day, the VFF Central Committee’s Central Relief Board also received contributions from various organisations, including 240 million VND from the Hospital of Post and Telecommunications’ fund, 2 billion VND from Honda Vietnam, 250 million VND from the Vietnam Auto Parts Company Limited, and 200 million VND from Lotteria Vietnam’s northern branch, among many others./.

Noi Bai Airport to operate expanded int’l terminal with comprehensive automation
