Hanoi (VNA) - Sun Group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with two prestigious international partners from Canada and Switzerland to build and develop the Sun Aviation Academy and the Sun Tourism Academy.

This is also a completely new field that the Group has established, after its decision to enter the aviation sector and merge its two brands of entertainment (Sun World) and hospitality (Sun Hospitality Group) under the new name Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group.

Accordingly, the two renowned partners chosen are Canadian Aviation Electronics Ltd (CAE) – a global leader in aviation training, and EHL Hospitality Business School (EHL) – the world’s leading education group in hotel and service management.

This strategic “handshake” marks an important milestone in Sun Group’s ecosystem development journey, affirming a strong commitment to long-term investment in training and developing high-quality human resources to meet the growing demand of Vietnam’s tourism service industry, especially in aviation and hospitality.

With the support of the two “giants” CAE and EHL, Sun Group will develop two academies: Sun Aviation Academy (SAA) and Sun Tourism Academy (STA) – building training programmes of international standard, tightly connecting theory, practice, and real-life experience.

According to the memorandum of understanding between the parties, CAE, a global icon from Canada in aviation training with more than 75 years of experience and a worldwide network of centers, will directly support the Sun Aviation Academy in developing an ATO (Approved Training Organisation) programme, in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, to train pilots, flight attendants, and ground staff. The Academy is expected to become a pioneering model in aviation training in Vietnam in fields such as training equipment, flight simulation technology, and aviation training solutions. The goal is not only to meet the training needs of Sun PhuQuoc Airways but also to make the Sun Aviation Academy the leading aviation training center in the region, ready to provide high-quality human resources for the industry.

Meanwhile, EHL, the world’s number one education group in hotel and service management from Switzerland, will accompany the Sun Tourism Academy to develop a generation of internationally qualified human resources in the leisure–hospitality sector, contributing to comprehensively improving the quality of Vietnam’s tourism service industry. With its 130-year history, EHL has produced generations of top leaders and experts in the hospitality–service industry, and is hailed as the “Harvard of the global hospitality industry.”

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group, affirmed that the companionship of CAE and EHL is the factor ensuring that the Sun Aviation Academy and the Sun Tourism Academy will become international-standard, distinctive, and high-class training centers. Truong emphasised: “In nearly 20 years of development, Sun Group has created iconic destinations across Vietnam. But behind every milestone, the real difference lies in people. Service is not only about meeting needs; it is about creating memorable experiences for visitors. That is why we are developing the Sun Aviation Academy and the Sun Tourism Academy – to train young Vietnamese talents with global knowledge, modern technology, and the right service mindset. With the support of CAE and EHL, we believe the academies will become models of international-standard training in Vietnam. This cooperation goes beyond education; it is about shaping together the future of tourism, aviation, and hospitality.”

Regarding hospitality and service management, Bao Chen, Regional Director and Head of Business Development of EHL, stressed: “EHL collaborates closely with Sun Group in this project with the ambition to build and develop a sustainable workforce, while nurturing career opportunities not only for Sun Group but also for the entire industry. This is our core mission. We also recognise Vietnam’s tremendous potential in talent development and career opportunities. Therefore, this project will become a catalyst between EHL and Sun Group, contributing to the whole country and the industry.”

In nearly two decades of development, Sun Group has become one of Vietnam’s leading private economic groups, pioneering in creating a comprehensive ecosystem from leisure travel, entertainment, and luxury real estate to infrastructure and finance. Recently, Sun Group continued to expand into the aviation sector with Sun PhuQuoc Airways, completing a fully integrated ecosystem from the ground to the sky and bringing Vietnam, especially Phu Quoc, closer to the world.

The combination of Sun Group with CAE and EHL not only aims to meet the internal needs of Sun Group’s ecosystem but also contributes to building a team of highly skilled human resources, “service ambassadors” of international stature, capable and confident to spread Vietnamese pride to the world. From this foundation, the country will increasingly affirm its position as an attractive, professional, and experience-rich destination on the global tourism map./.
