Tea fans to gather in Thai Nguyen this November

The second International Tea Festival will take place in the northern mountainous province of Thai Nguyen from November 9-11, announced the festival’s organising board at a press conference on October 22.

This year’s festival will draw the participation of 84 delegations,including three foreign, and 24 from other provinces that grow, processand market tea products.

A wide range of activities arescheduled for the festival, including a tea culture festival, a teacarnival, conferences on tea products and tourism promotion, the MissTea Land Contest, a photo exhibition featuring the beauty of Vietnam’sland, people and Thai Nguyen tea, and a market introducing specialitiesof Vietnamese ethnic groups.

According to Ma Thi Nguyet, ViceChairwoman of the Thai Nguyen provincial People’s Committee and head ofthe organising board, the beauty pageant will be the main activity ofthis year’s festival with the number of candidates doubling thatrecorded in the previous event.

She said the host province,the capital of tea in Vietnam , has completed preparations for thefestival, from urban decoration to cleaning tea fields and establishing atea street in the centre of Thai Nguyen city.
On this occasion, two national and international records will be announced.

The festival, co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports andTourism and the Thai Nguyen provincial People’s Committee, aims topromote tea products, growers and the drinking culture of Thai Nguyenand Vietnam in general.

It also helps enhance cooperationin tea production, processing and consumption between Thai Nguyen andother provinces, as well as between domestic and foreign growers,processors and consumers.-VNA

They are asked to issue legal documents within their jurisdiction to implement cuts and reassign the authority of settlement at the district level. For procedures requiring government decrees, ministries must submit them to the Ministry of Justice for review by May 10, and to the Government for approval by May 30. Progress on the work must be reported to the PM by May 10.
