Thailand's culture ministry boosts youth creative network nationwide

The 2026 programme is being held in two rounds. The first covers the central, northern, and eastern regions from February 4 to 6, followed by a second round for the northeastern and southern regions from February 18 to 20. More than 168 participants are expected, including youth network members, teacher and lecturer advisers, and officials from provincial cultural offices nationwide.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand's Ministry of Culture has launched a nationwide capacity-building programme to strengthen the Youth Culture Creative Connect Network, or Y: Triple C, through intensive workshops that equip young people with skills to develop creative projects rooted in local cultural identity.

The programme opened in Bangkok, with youth representatives, educators, and provincial cultural officials from 42 provinces participating.

Permanent Secretary for Culture Prasop Riangngoen presided over the opening, announcing the ministry’s approach to advancing culture as a driver of social and economic value. He highlighted the role of youth, communities, and cross-sector cooperation in transforming cultural heritage through environmentally mindful practices and modern technology, while preserving cultural meaning.

Building on the establishment of the Y: Triple C network across all 76 provinces last year, the workshops strengthen analytical skills, project planning, and proposal development linked to local contexts. Training includes lectures, hands-on sessions, case studies, group discussions, and project presentations, with an approach that connects cultural capital to digital tools and current social trends.

The ministry expects the program to generate practical youth-led project models, reinforce cooperation among cultural networks, and support community-based cultural development./.
