Bangkok (VNA) - Thailand’s exportsgrew 10.3 percent in February year on year, according to figures from the ThaiMinistry of Commerce.
The figure was below the 17.6 percent yearon year jump recorded in January.
The country earned 20.36 billion USD fromexports in February, marking the 12th month in a row of export growth, mostly thanks to the country’s economicrecovery and increasing demand of its traditional partners.
Export gains wereled by cars and spare parts, computers and parts, rubber, plastics, gemstoneand jewellery, chemicals, oil and gas, machinery and parts, electronics andagricultural products.
Thailand’s leadingexport markets are Russia, India, Japan, South Asia, Australia, Cambodia, Laos,Myanmar and Vietnam.
The country’s importsin February rose 16 percent from a year earlier to 19.6 billion USD, resultingin a trade surplus of 808 million USD.
Thailand hasimported 39.8 billion USD worth of products so far this year, up 20.1 percentyear on year.-VNA
