Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the CommunistParty of Vietnam (CPV)’s Central Committee and President Nguyen Phu Trong willpay an official friendly visit to Laos from February 24-25, and a state visit toCambodia from February 25-26, an announcement from the CPV Central Committee’sCommission for External Relations has said.
The visits will be made at the invitations of GeneralSecretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee andPresident Bounnhang Vorachith, and Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
Vietnam-Laosrelations were founded by late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and his Laocounterpart Kaysone Phomvihane, and have been nurtured by generations ofleaders and the peoples of the two countries over the past seven decades, blossominginto a valuable treasure of the two nations.
The traditionalfriendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation have beenunceasingly cemented.
Meanwhile, withdiplomatic ties established on June 24, 1967, Vietnam and Cambodia havemaintained mutual high-ranking visits, as well as delegation exchanges betweentheir ministries, sectors and localities.–VNA
