Tay Ninh has five constituencies for the election to the 16th NA, with 15 seats to be filled; 27 constituencies for the provincial People’s Council, electing 81 deputies; and 634 commune-level constituencies, with 2,059 seats for People’s Councils at the grassroots level.
Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan praised Dong Nai for its serious, proactive and law-compliant preparations, stressing that the province should continue to regard the election as a top political task, strictly implementing procedures in line with the law and schedule, thoroughly reviewing candidate dossiers, ensuring proper structure and representation, and safeguarding citizens’ voting rights, including those of migrant workers, the elderly and persons with disabilities.

State Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan inspected election preparations in Lam Dong province on February 5, underscoring the need to ensure that all stages of the upcoming elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term are conducted in a strict, transparent and law-compliant manner.
The Vice President asked the province to maintain absolute adherence to procedures set by the National Election Council, ensuring that the elections are successful not only in terms of schedule but also in personnel quality, structure and representativeness.
Based on a thorough review of the candidates’ dossiers and professional records, voters unanimously agreed that all nominees fully meet the criteria and conditions to stand for the election. They were assessed as exemplary in terms of political integrity, ethics, competence and reputation, having held and successfully fulfilled major responsibilities within the Party and the State.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Election Council, has signed Resolution No. 85/NQ-HĐBCQG on the number of constituencies, the list of constituencies, and the number of National Assembly deputies to be elected in each constituency across cities and provinces. The resolution states that the total number of constituencies for the 16th National Assembly nationwide is 182.
Affirming that being nominated as a candidate for the NA is both a great honour and a heavy responsibility before the Party, the State and the people, the candidates pledged to strive to work even harder, serve the Fatherland and the people, and live up to the trust and confidence of voters and people nationwide.
Dr. Nguyen Quynh Lien, member of the Presidium of the 10th VFF Central Committee and Head of the VFF’s department for democracy, supervision and social criticism, said that taking place shortly after the 14th National Party Congress, the election serves to concretise the guiding principle that “the people are the masters and the people exercise mastery”.
Founded on February 3, 1930 under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh, the Communist Party of Vietnam quickly emerged as the organiser and leader of Vietnam’s revolutionary movement, securing one historic victory after another. Looking back, history shows clearly that the decisive factor behind every success of the Party has been its correct leadership line, in which the training, organisation and deployment of cadres has always been a top priority.
The display not only documents the institutional development of the National Assembly but also reflects how elections have accompanied each stage of national renewal and reform.
At the Hanoi conference, Standing Vice President of the Hanoi VFF Committee Tran Thi Phuong Hoa stressed that within the consultation and nomination process, gathering voter comments and confidence assessments at candidates’ places of residence is of particular importance, serving as a practical basis for evaluating nominees’ political integrity, ethics, lifestyle and relations with the people.
On March 15, 2026, voters nationwide will take part in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Among related major information streams, the election represents a particularly important political event, taking place immediately after the 14th National Party Congress and serving as a concrete step in realising its resolution.
