Twelve teams selected for 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup finals

Hanoi (VNA) – Twelve teams have been selected for the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup final round, with Vietnam cruising through the qualifiers alongside continental heavyweights.

The “Golden Star Women Warriors” topped Group B with three wins over Hong Kong (China), Singapore, and Kyrgyzstan, netting 14 goals without conceding.

Defending champions the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) impressed most, scoring 36 goals and conceding none in three matches.

The 12 finalists are hosts Thailand; group winners DPRK, Vietnam, Australia, India, China, Japan, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Korea; plus best runners-up Jordan, Bangladesh, and Taiwan (China).

The finals will run from April 1–18, 2026, with the top four earning tickets to the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland./.
