Two new bridges crossing the Han River in the central city of Da Nangopened to traffic on March 29 to mark the 38 th anniversary of theLiberation Day of the city.
Addressing the event,Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted the efforts of thecity’s authorities and people in lifting the face of the city,particularly in building infrastructure and new residential areas.
The “Rong” (dragon) bridge is 666m long and more than 36m wide whilethe Tran Thi Ly bridge is 731m long and 34.5m wide. The two were builtat a total cost of more than 3.4 trillion VND.
Thebridges linking the city’s centre with Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Sondistricts are expected to meet transport needs even in the years tocome.-VNA
