The US has imposed an anti-dumping duty of nearly 28 percent on Vietnamese steel pipes.

Indian steel pile exporter Zenith Birla incurred anti-dumping duties of more than 48 percent. Earlier in March, the US slashed an anti-subsidy duty of nearly 300 percent on steel pipes imported from the south Asian country.

Producers in Oman and the United Arab Emirates were also hit with duty in the range of 5.6-11.7 percent. According to the US Department of Commerce (DOC), these duties will affect exports from the four countries, estimated at nearly 200 million USD in 2011 alone.
