The State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) will continue strengthening the exchange of information and experience in auditing with the Lao State Audit Organisation (LSAO).

SAV Chief Auditor Dinh Tien Dung made the affirmation during his talks with LSAO Chair Viengthong Siphandone in Hanoi on October 18.

Dung suggested the LSAO actively coordinate with the Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Subcommittee in promoting audit cooperation between the two nations, especially in technical assistance and construction investment.

The two sides should boost cooperation in training and knowledge sharing through joint conferences and seminars on audit activities.

Viengthong Siphandone thanked the SAV for its valuable assistance to the LSAO, especially in human resources and processional training.

At the talks, the two sides reached a high consensus on the continued exchange of senior delegations. The SAV will send experts to Laos to train local auditors and organise short-term training courses, professional seminars and conferences for Lao officials and auditors.

The two sides will continue support each other at multilateral forums, especially in the framework of the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI).

Dung and his Lao counterpart signed the minutes of their talks./.
