PM Dung made the affirmation at a reception for Vice Chairman of the
US-ASEAN Business Council (UABC) Keith William and representatives from
some major US businesses in Hanoi on October 29.

cooperation between Vietnam and the US, especially in trade and
investment.

developing fruitfully in various fields, with the rapid increase of
two-way trade that brings practical benefits to both sides, he added.
The PM thanked the UABC for its efforts to promote
cooperation between the two nations and suggested the council support
Vietnam in negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement
(TPP), with regard to Vietnam ’s real conditions.
For his part, Keith William said that the council’s organisation of its
first meeting in Vietnam shows that US businesses have paid
attention to and will continue attaching importance to long-term
investment in the Southeast Asian nation.
This is an
important milestone in the context that the parties are preparing for
the conclusion of the TPP negotiations, he said, adding that the
successful TPP negotiations will strongly boost cooperation between
Vietnam and the US, especially in trade and investment.
