Vietnam stands side by side with US businesses

PM Dung made the affirmation at a reception for Vice Chairman of theUS-ASEAN Business Council (UABC) Keith William and representatives fromsome major US businesses in Hanoi on October 29.

He said the UABC’s activities have contributed to fosteringcooperation between Vietnam and the US, especially in trade andinvestment.

The Vietnam-US relationship isdeveloping fruitfully in various fields, with the rapid increase oftwo-way trade that brings practical benefits to both sides, he added.

The PM thanked the UABC for its efforts to promotecooperation between the two nations and suggested the council supportVietnam in negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement(TPP), with regard to Vietnam ’s real conditions.

For his part, Keith William said that the council’s organisation of itsfirst meeting in Vietnam shows that US businesses have paidattention to and will continue attaching importance to long-terminvestment in the Southeast Asian nation.

This is animportant milestone in the context that the parties are preparing forthe conclusion of the TPP negotiations, he said, adding that thesuccessful TPP negotiations will strongly boost cooperation betweenVietnam and the US, especially in trade and investment.

He vowed that the UABC will do its utmost to foster trade and investment ties between the two countries.-VNA

Nearly 16 trillion VND raised through January bond auctions

Vung Tau - Con Dao high-speed ferry reoperated
